Nice spec and the Bond connection is cool (if a small one). Pity it has such high mileage as it's obviously not a museum piece. Be interesting to see what it fetches over one in similar condition without Daniel Craig's bum print on the driver's seat.

The vehicle for sale and the vehicle in the Bond film are different Number Plates. So it may not be the same car. Pinewood studios purchased the car but that is not proof of it being used in the film:?

It never ceases to amaze me this sort of thing , what self respecting Jaguar Enthusiast would entertain purchasing this rubbish ,
imagine at a gathering or parked in the car park at the pub and you tell someone " this was James Bonds car " because thats
how the Plonker who was fooled into purchasing this junk would describe it . Laughable , its akin to buying a second hand Mondeo
which was previously registered to Virgin as a company car then telling everyone it was owned by Richard Branson . Sad.........
Don't you dare bid on that Eddie :-D

Paul,
If it is you that just outbid me at £10k , she's all yours.
The profit margin has gone from this transaction now.
18:30 to see the final sale price ......... :)

Well it sold for £15K. So someone must either be mad or believes the connection.:?

"Enjoying" Spectre is a bit of an exaggeration  it was a bit pants IMHO, however their choice of an "old" Jag in preference to a new one was fascinating. Was it a sideways acknowlegement that it looks more "British" than the X351, or did they just not want to tread on the toes of whichever big car maker was sponsoring the brand new main movie cars?

I agree with Alec; with the current mania for Bond collectibles and movie props in general this wasn't a bad buy, maybe a little overpriced but so what, it will always stir someone's interest.

I think the XJR in the final shots of Casino Royale was a nice historical marker for the model too.

Haha, I watched it for the cars, the DB10 & C-X75 & X350 😎. Good question why they used the old XJ, I am sure smashing up a X351 would have been no issue to them, considering the Aston got destroyed.

Yes it certainly wouldn't have been a financial reason, plus they could have got new cars free from a manufacturer. A question for the producers I think.

Yonks ago on a Brosnan one (Tomorrow Never Dies) the baddies cars were all old and nondescript (10 year old Vauxhall Senator springs to mind) presumably not to overshadow the titanically boring BMW 7 series he was lumbered with by virtue of product deals.

It must have been a deliberate choice I suppose; perhaps they felt an older 'distinguished' car suited M's personality more. However I thought a poverty spec Diesel 'Sport Premium' was a strange choice. I saw the aluminium dash panels in the film and thought yuck... I think it should have been at least a Sovereign or maybe an XJR; preferably a Super V8 or Daimler model.

Remember the X308 Daimler Super in Quantum of Solace? That was a car you could be proud to have in your garage - but an old Diesel Sport Premium.... not worth more than a few grand in my opinion.

That C-X75 is stunning - much better looking car than the Aston I think:

I think this Aston DB10 is a bit of a dog...

Yeah I agree with your views on the DB10 , I think its largely an opportunity missed in my opinion .
The Vanquish in Black is probably as good as it gets .
Talking with a friend the other day about the DB9 as opposed to the X150 XKR , 450 bhp as opposed to 510 bhp , factor in ownership
costs and the better finish on the XKR and you have to say the XKR is the better buy . I suppose at this level cars really become emotional
purchases , only £10 k difference between a good DB9 and a good XKR
