If the car beeps twice it means a door, boot or bonnet is not shut properly. In that case, by design, the car will not lock with the fob but it will with the key. So with a failed boot sensor, the car will never lock on the fob!

The fob can be set to open all doors together on one press of the fob or driver's door and boot only on first press and other doors on a second press. To switch between the two options, press both lock and unlock buttons for four seconds when the indicators will flash twice to show it done.

With either arrangement, one press of the lock button will single lock it and set the basic alarm. two presses will double lock and set the inclination alarm and internal volume sensing alarm (If fitted).

When unlocking only the boot, with the car locked, if the boot lid is not raised within about 5 - 10 seconds of unlocking, the alarm will be set off.

Also, in case you don't know, three presses of the light button on the fob will also set off the alarm if ever that seems a good idea!

Finally, while almost irrelevant to this post, it helps in solving most problems if you add your car details to the signature block for easy reference

To be brief, No If you use the Search Forum facility and look up 'Cruise', you might find something that helps. Otherwise, start a new thread giving any details of symptoms/conditions etc. Also car details will be essential - engine, ( I know it's a 3.0 from the photo!) auto or manual and Model Year.
