Hey folks new to this side of the forums, Came over here from having an X type that was a bit of a problem, it's all in my sig to save repetition.
But just saying hello and starting the thread that should, this time, be full of happy photos, road trip news, and general Little George stuff.

To kick off here it is. Think when it gets it's personal plate on it it will be named by the wife so it's a him. You'll see in a few weeks.
2009 2.7d Sovereign with almost all the extras. Frost blue (JJZ) with Barley inside (SEL). One previous owner. FSH all done at the same jag dealer 5 by the same guy, and only 79K miles when I picked it up. It's failed one MOT in its life on a wiper blade and numberplate light. I will keep that record going.

Loving it already had it since Tuesday and already clocked up almost 7 hundred miles and just passed the 79k mark yesterday. I'll calm down soon. Just cant help it. It's the car I've been looking for since I was in my early 20's I've always had a thing for jags of this shape. 40 years waiting.

Gave it a proper valet inside and a right good polishing but haven't got around to photos yet, so dealer ones will have to do for starters.

So this morning after a chat with my solicitor told me to phone the dvla mention I have legal advice and explain the situation. Only then they were helpful.
Car is no longer in my name, was told to send this fine and any further fines back to them, parking, speeding whatever, and it will be dealt with.
Dont believe it for one minute but its a start.

yeah we will see. put a big cloud over my 60th in a couple of days, really not in the mood for it but at least everything, Jag and BMW is out of my hands now. Done all I can.

2-3 weeks they recon, booked for a week , and then its just the waiting for the its fixed call. I miss my car already, days are cracking could have washed and mitted it with a beer in the other hand

I'm afraid that, these days, with any situation that is - or could be - in any way contentious, I check that the call is being recorded at their end and also say that I will be recording my end.I also request email confirmation of any agreement reached and, if no email arrives within 48 hours, harass the bejeezus out of them until I get one.

Yep made sure it was recorded. Told them my solicitor would like a copy if this isn't dealt with. All I did today was down to my solicitors instructions to the letter. it was a bit more detailed than I posted.

On a brighter note: I believe Mrs George is coming to Download in June. Being local to Castle Donington I can report that preparation is under way! Donno Co-op will soon be full of slabs of lager, sun cream and packs of rubber johnnies. Not my kind of moosic unfortunately: wish they’d have a 70’s prog rock festival. When the wind is right we get to listen for free 👍

yep mrs LG is all packed and ready to go, starts on the 8th. Not my kind of thing either too barky for me. 80's hair metal, acdc Guns n roses that kind of thing was my bag back then, now its more Sinatra

That makes her born on a Monday:
‘Monday’s child is fair of face’

And me born on a Sunday: according to the rhyme:
‘Sundays child is bonny and blithe, and good and gay’. I think ‘gay’ meant happy in those days….

Missis W maintains I should have been born on a Wednesday: ‘Wednesday’s child is full of woe’

be odd this year not being able to spoil her on the day. Think the 500 quid cash shes getting and the ticket I bought will ease her pain though.
