Hi
Keep getting Restricted performance issues and put scanner on and getting some MAF reading Bank A 0.3 h/g s and Bank B 7 to 8 h/g s

Also reading other forums MAF A and B different writing configuration 1 has 3 wires and 1 has 4 wires

Can anyone tell me where bank A is ? Also if my MAFs are knackered

Attaching error code forgot to include generic code got clipped when taking pic

Thanks in advance

Both MAF sensors are located just to the left of the air filter housing at the front of the engine, one above the other. They are identical and so can be swapped (the sensors, not the wiring).

Hi

You say they identical I have a spare filter with two MAFs on it but they have different codes on them that's what I was asking Part no's the same for both Mafs.

Also which is Bank A and Bank B there is in on top the filter and one pointing down. What I saw when taking plugs of the one facing down has4 wires and one on top has 3 wires. Is that right.

Why I ask is had my alternator down recently about 3 weeks ago
and wondering if mechanic pput wrong plug on wrong sensors.

So can you confirm if MAF who's plug facing down is Bank A or B and is the plug with 4 wires or 3 wires.

Did read on different forum both Mafs have same Part no but have a different no right at the bottom. The spare filter I have is the same both Mafs have different numbers on them

Top MAF plug next to filter has 00689 at the bottom and the MAF facing down has 000672.

So info I need is which MAF is Bank A ? And how many wires go to it pls 3 or 4 wires. Wondering if mechanic messed up.

Have spare have used MAF cleaner to clean them and exchange tomorrow and see what data I get

See pics of MAF part Nos

Thanks

The MAFs are identical. One uses 4 wires as it send the intake air temp to the PCM.
Can't remember which is which, but it's easy to follow where the go.
One MAF will read high, I think this is the one with the intake temp (4 wires), the one that reads low feeds the second turbo, so won't start to read high until 2600/2800 rpm when the second turbo kicks in.
Thanks for info 1 reads about 15hg and second reads 0.4 hg but isn't it supposed to be 0 hg and then read above 0hg when 2nd turbo kicks in ?
