Latest mod with a bit of a background story.
X260, as I’m aware, never had an option of any kind of storage under any of the front seats, except the open shelf (cover for seat electronics) under both drivers and passengers.
While searching what could be there instead of that shelf/module cover Jag part no T2H46769 search results showed a couple of LR pages pointing to different LR models Evoque, Velar, RR etc.
Since Jaguar part list didn’t show anything that can be fitted there my attention drifted to LR parts lists. Comparing the front seat base part No. from Jaguar and LR it was clear that several models from both brands share the same parts, makes total sense, right, after all it’s JLR.
And Bingo, there it is, LR has an accessory for front seats that should fit my X260 XF as well.
Now, there are several models of umbrella holders on LR site and while the holders look the same, the difference is in price and the mounting bracket. After a trip to the car and tactile investigation of a seat base it seamed to me that Evoque ~2018 and XF have the same seats.
Even better Evoque’s umbrella holder is the cheapest.

I did it without taking the seat out of the car but you’ll need an extra pair of hands.
Followed the video and started taking off the seat base cover from the corner, comes off really easy.

Then you’ll need a helping hands to hold the cover up as much as possible while you’re fixing the bracket to a base. Fixing holes are circled, lower two are too close to each other.
Fixed the bracket.

And then fitted back the seat cover.

Holder comes with all necessary parts and big Land Rober logo so that had to be sorted.
Took off Jaguar heritage logo from earlier bought wheel centre caps and as those still had some glue on them just fitted them over LR Badges, perfect cover.

Now comes the most difficult part. The clips that are provided with the holder are so tough that if following LR instructions there is no way they would slide in the holes on the bracket so I took different approach.

First, fix the the clips in the holes and then just slide the holder to it’s position.
The instruction is to mount the holder on passenger seat

Summer prep is on the way and one of the wheels needed a bit of attention. Last Summer while approaching the toll booth in France clipped the kerb a bit (those toll booth kerbs are massive, more like a wall) and that was more than enough for a scratch on a wheel.
Anyway, now fixed and fully refurbished.

I don't recall messing about with the weather app since I bought the car. I'll try and remember to have a look.

Annual service done and dusted today. This one being a small one didn’t take long, only a morning.
All green on health check and loads of praises from service adviser how good Blue Boss is when I was collecting him (emoji for smug face).
Boss will have very busy April , trip through Europe and Bleinheim weekend so knowing he is in good health is a bonus.

Good news V... not picked up on his name before... Blue Boss... cool... not to be confused with the Big Blue Taxi that frequents the Jaguar Breakfast Club

Since XF came to my ownership I was a bit indecisive about the name. Started as She but then transgendered to He in 2023. 🤷🏼
