Unfortunately that doesn’t cement one’s position as the manager. It's a shame, as his team have come second to some very good teams. No disgrace in that.

True, true.Unfortunately that doesn’t cement one’s position as the manager.
How fickle is this game of football. Just last April, having beaten Arsenal 3-0 in the League with much the same players (plus Gallagher and Kouyaté) we were heading to the semi-final of the FA Cup. The rumour then was that Arteta could be sacked and replaced by a proper manager - Vieira. Now, Arteta is heading for a potential League title and Manager of the Year award while Vieira is sacked with a damaged reputation.Hodgson in talks to return to Palace at the age of 75 according to Sky Sports.

If we reinstate Hodgson until the end of the season I shall be furious. A serious backward step that shows absolutely no progressive intent, we might as well just stick with Vieira. It would also show a complete lack of forethought from Parish and the Board in whom many of us supporters are rapidly becoming disillusioned as to where they want the Club to go. Would likely as not start a more vigorous campaign of Parish-out!
Thank heavens there's 6-Nations on this afternoon to distract me.
Four straight defeats for Villa against Bournemouth, should be a good match.Rest assured we will do our very best today in trying to keep you safe from the relegation zone![]()
You are officially no longer a jinxI think that it is only fair to warn all interested parties that I plan on watching the Burnley game.
... this may affect your betting strategy.
Job doneFour straight defeats for Villa against Bournemouth, should be a good match.
And 4 between 6th and 11thSome good matches this afternoon, just 4 points now between 12th and 20th. Southampton played brilliant to get a point against Spurs.
Or you could be overthinking 'a la Pep'I think that the jinx may have been conflicted, and (wrongly) guessed that I was pulling for Mad Vince.
Laying the ground work for when he gets the boot.No one mentioning the Conte rant? I’ve not seen the manager of a club go on a rant like that for quite some time.
Must be some truth in that rant though, the players will either turn up and prove him wrong or just lay down tools to spite him. Levy has the international break to think about it all, he’ll probably leave him there and just not renew, to save money.Laying the ground work for when he gets the boot.![]()
It sounded very much like a resignation / "I give up" speech to me. Be interesting to see what reaction he gets from the players when they play Everton (if he's still the manager then of course). .Must be some truth in that rant though, the players will either turn up and prove him wrong or just lay down tools to spite him. Don't read too much into any pundit analysis, the fact it finished 0-0 designates it as a Bore Score Draw with the bookies. A money back none event, nuff saidThis morning’s Sunday Times, “Norwich City, in seventh, we’re held 0 v 0 away to Stoke City, with their goalkeeper, Angus Gunn, making crucial saves….”
Doesn’t that suggest that Stoke were held by Norwich?
