Evening All.

Joined in up the hope of helping my dad out with his Jag!

I'm a bit more into my hot hatches etc being a young'un (and the fact I can't afford an XKR!) but I've had some decent cars in my 5 years of driving.

Had a couple of 1.2 Clio' to start with, then a 182 Clio @ 19, Integra type R @ 20, Megane R26 @ 21, then a 330ci for a while, with a couple of others mixed in.

My Dad has been a life long Jag fan, with the last one he bought being a 1989 XJS V12 convertible. He got it brand new and the car is yet to do 8000 miles! Safe to say it's a minter!

Anyways, the main reason for joining up is the car has not really moved for the last 3/4 years but previously has been serviced and MOT'd religiously. He's trying to find out various things:

Where is the best place to take it around the Midlands. We're from Derby but would travel bit for a well recommended garage.
What would you guys recommend would need doing on the car?! I'm trying to dig out the old history he has for it, but unsure what he should really be asking the garage to do.

Appreciate any help!

Only one place to take it as far as the 46 forum members who went to Jagfix for his last meeting including one travelling from Ipswich and me from Newcastle upon Tyne area.
Address and info here:-
www.thejagspecialist.com
Used him since 2005 Jag grade 4 master tech
Jag trained, dealer experienced own Indy prices
Last year my local indy wanted 3k to fix a fault...his diagnosed a £2.48 rubber pipe fitted under the car in seconds when it arrived. He did a temp repair so we could drive to France while waiting for jaguar pipe

PS
Nice car...
Was talking about XJS cabriolets to a private dealer friend yesterday at Raby Castle show. He's got an N reg xjs celebration cabriolet model and 5 people fighting over it at £14k....I couldn't believe they were worth that!
