Newbie Intro

Hi All,

Just joined the forum as a Sovereign SIII (1984) owner interested in acquiring a 2000-ish, low mileage X308 Daimler.
I have spent a fair bit of time reading what I could find re X308 Daimlers, but would be very appreciative of any particular advice any of you may have regarding this vintage of X308 - particularly specific items to be aware of.

Otherwise, I look forward to popping in here as often as poss to keep in touch with the wonderful world of Jaguar.

Hi Logis. I just stumbled accross this whilst on ebay 1999 JAGUAR SOVEREIGN V8 AUTO RED LONG WHEELBASE, FULL CREAM LEATHER STUNNING | eBay. I dont know if it's exactly what you are looking for but I've bought my last two XJR's from these guys and really had no complaints with them.

That's very kind Jerry, thanks.
I'd prefer to hold out for a Daimler, however, as no urgency.

Apart from (what appear to be) the three principal items - Nikasil, tensioners and rust points - anything I should be specifically looking out for?
