Hi, can someone help me with what equipment I would need to do my own engine oil change please. I’m no mechanic but would love to oil change every 6 months, my car is a 2012 2.2 with only 32000 on the clock the previous owner only doing mainly short trips. It does have a full service history but in order to maintain this car and keep it in good condition it needs using a bit more. Thanks in advance Colin

There’s nothing wrong with the extraction method, especially if your doing several oil changes a year.
However, if it’s a service that your doing, then the undertray really should come off so things can be properly inspected. Especially so on older cars that may have small leaks which can be resolved before they become big problems.
