Hi. Have a look on ebay you can pick up OBD II code readers for about £20 that should be ok with your car.

There is an App' for Android phones. It's called 'Torque'. It reads codes via the OBD with an adaptor lead as well as showing 0-60 times, etc.
Might be worth looking at.

Ok found one its called Rev on the app store.Bit expensive £27.99 for the main rev and Rev lite is Free but more basic
