Hi bluechem I have just started to use oxicat .as I have not long bought my xf with 70000 miles on it when bought can you explain again please for us members. Will oxicat clean out what is already there in exhaust turbo egr etc . Because as I see it it will be burnt of along with the diesel in the tank as you say it's good preventative. Will it break down any carbon already in the egr manifold etc my car is running spot on and only bp ultimate and millers and now oxicat feeds her thanks John.

 

It will clean the entire exhaust system which keeps carbon deposits down. Almost all problems associated with EGR valves, diesel turbo's and DPF systems are due to, or started by a build up of carbon. We have before, not serviced this area of the vehicle, because in the early days it was overlooked and we rely on the vehicle running without problems. But, due to a need, products have now been designed to work as an Oxide, after the burn process,what we call post combustion. It sounds like you look after your car well, so the effects of Oxi will not be as pronounced. If you have no post combustion carbon build up it will do nothing at all! Doing nothing will give you peace of mind that you are doing your best to look after things.

 

Just ordered 3 bottles of the stuff will be running to the south of France at the week end should clean out the pipes . Will post on my return to see if theirs any improvement on MPG .

 

Hi Monty,use one on a full tank on the way out and one on a full tank for the way back. It will clean post combustion carbon, this allows your engine to breathe better and will reset around a cleaner environment. You should see an improvement in engine performance, especially with the first application. But remember it is a genuine product that works, but will only clean carbon deposits if they are present. If not, it is great peace of mind to know that your EGR, Turbo and DPF, or Sensors and Catalytic Convertor are clean. Have a great trip, and save the last Oxi for a future dose, putting more in would not see a benefit. About 2 to 3 monthly should be fine, even if you are in town most of the time.

 

I have also noticed that the slight "turbo" lag has now gone the car drives so much better and smooth, my tank is almost empty so will be filling it up with bp or shell v max thanks again Richard (bluechem) that oxicat is great

john you noticed the benefits yet

 

Hi James used the car yesterday first time since adding the oxicat..the way the car went down the m4 I thought I had aviation fuel in the tank its early days yet . Car seems to be smoother more responsive it will take me a couple more weeks to burn of the tankful and get the full benefit ie a good clean out, will be using it over the weekend oil and filter change tomorrow will post on Monday so far oxicat is looking good.

 

mine was much as yours, first got it serviced but only anoil and il filter change as only done 7-8 ooo since last service, jaguar recommends servicing every 16,000 for the xj. but I wanted an oil change. its all in town driving that I do, very low mpg 30mph if lucky. after the service , when picking the car up it felt roughf, making me question the dealers in m head, ( it feels rougher than I gave to them ) after only 2mile or so, pulled into filling station put oxicat in tank filled up after nearly 2weeks felt it kicking in, that tank full has gone, down to a third then filled up BP ulti car so smooth , no more turbo lag, I even drove to work to day using the paddle shifts falling back then foot down great . I have 3 cans left add another one may -june . mine oly done 44000 but turbo was neading cleaned out as I have noticed big time. glad yours is doing fine to . james

 

Yes I am thinking the same i need to run the whole tank through. I am only having a oil filter change although the car was serviced when I bought it last November I like to use fhuks gt1 I like to know what make quality of oil is in my car used to use it in the xj very good oil I go to national tyres and autocare .

I am very careful to try and let people find out if the product works as well as garages tell me it does and my own experience of it is very positive. I was reading the fuel consumption figures given on another thread, and I am pretty certain that I get 3 or 4 more miles per gallon than an average 3.0 D. I can only put that down to a clean system and for me that is Oxicat. I have not used any of my other products through it yet! When I get time, I am going to write a full explanation of why this is such a good product to use. The industry is full of products that all claim to be brilliant. Personally, I have found out that different products suit different situations/engines/running problems. Oxicat is universally good though, the first product that I can say, that is the case.

Just had a garage tell me, they stuck a coil pack on a petrol car with a misfire. Then they stuck a better quality coil pack on it as it had improved but was still misfiring. After a while of head scratching, they put two Oxicat in the tank and after a short drive, problem was solved. I get these stories all of the time, sometimes the product just helps to eliminate a possible contamination problem and others like this, contamination is the route of the problem. Either way, I have not ever had so many good comments about a product that I sell. I still need to find time to write the full technical on it, and I will do that soon.

 

Its a great Product Richard really good stuff, that's why ive said it will sell its self, as word gets out and others try it and tell others etc

 

seen 36.9mpg on the way to work today, normally its about 29mpg at 30mph big improvement

 

A lot of people do see a gain in economy James, because the engine breathes better, the ECU gets a cleaner message and all starts to work as it is supposed to. 7 or 8 mpg though, that is amazing. The long term effect of using Oxicat is much better than using a standard injector cleaner.

Well last Saturday I went a trip out and I set the cruise control to 73 and by the time I got to Johnstonebridge services from Glasgow the trip computer was saying 40mpg
I put my can of oxicat in the car yesterday,did some local running around
This morning I thought I'll see if things have improved
Well to my astonishment by the same point as last week my car was reading 43.8 mpg
Very impressed

I look skeptically at all products when they come out. Most garages use products that were good once, but "that is what we always do" is the answer I get a lot of the time. To be fair, it is difficult to chop and change products that they use on customer's cars. And we know, not all of them do what they claim to do. I have been impressed with Oxicat. Thanks for your testing and your feedback.

 

it's good to see these positive posts starting to come through. and we are still in winter when diesel mpg normally drops bring on spring summer us oxicat users are going to have some great results grace and pace.
