Welcome to the forum.
First thing to check is the sensors. Switch the ignition on but don’t start the engine, put the car into reverse and then listen for a clicking sound at the sensors. Any that don’t click could well be defective.

Also check in the boot at the module that there is no moisture or water in or around the module itself.
Hi and welcome to the forum. Jim has answered your question failing which a diagnostic with JLR/SDD mongoose will detail it.

Thanks for the reply silly qauestion but can i leave the car in reverse as you mentioned above and go to the rear of the car and listen or will they stop clicking shortly after reverse is engaged.... the buzzer makes it hard to hear anything ill try this after i get home from nightshift

they will keep clicking. If you cannot hear anything at all then use a screwdriver. One end touching the sensor and the other at your ear. That amplifies the sound

You can usually feel a slight tingle when you touch the sensors...well I can on mine!
As this is fairly common and expensive to change sensors, a lot of owners including myself ended up buying a cheap kit off fleabay for under £15, easy to fit and very reliable.
well tonight finally got some time to check this out so

On the rear 3 out of the 4 sensors click

on the front 1 out of the 4 click

Ill be able to get replacement ones no problem as im friendly with a local breaker... so what is next after i fit replacements then, a new parking module?? or are they all in a chain and need to be working for the system to work correctly??
They all need to click so replace the defective ones first and then try again. No need to be thinking about a new module just yet.

I meant when touching the sensors with my fingers. No, I'm not into mechaphilia........the exhaust pipe points downwards!
