If the module has got wet then that could be the problem - X-Type boots are prone to leakage - so if all the sensors don't work then that could indeed be why. Try checking all the connections by pulling them out and re-inserting them. Do the reversing lights still work? Did the mechanic check the reversing-light switch just beneath the battery?

You can try pulling out the connectors on the module as they might have got damp but you may indeed need a new unit.

Also.... There is a fuse in the glovebox, I forget the number but just look up X type fuses on t'net. Secondhand modules aren't too dear: try Autoreserve. Make sure you get one for front and rear sensors: rear only is a different model. The module has a type number printed on. Finally, no reprogramming required. There are several related posts on here if you search .

Assuming this is a 2004+ X-Type... may be worth checking fuse F33 (5A) in the passenger fuse box. This fuse only supplies the parking aid module.
