Does anyone have any favoured parts suppliers for Jaguar parts in the UK? For my Land Rover Island-4x4 and RimmerBros tend to be competitive and give very good service but they don't seem to have so much jag stuff so I thought maybe there were similar suppliers that specialise a bit more for Jags?

I get my consumables from EuroCar Parts, small original parts from the dealer because they are not expensive, and any expensive items from ebay or my local breakers yard.

It's always a good plan to call the dealer for any part, I've been pleasantly surprised before.

G'day Grrrrr! :D

I can really empathise with you ... it is 100 times worse here in Oz! :D

May I suggest Myton Automotive:

http://www.mytonautomotive.com/

They used to be called JustJags ... now include Land Rover... Tom is the young gentleman I usually talk with. Tom, his mum and dad own the business and hey have a few others working for them. I have fount them to absolutely faultless on service. They have a great website that shows everything and makes it explicit. Prices seem on par with the most reasonable companies.

Interestingly, I found this in my searches (as I was seeking out suspension bits) ....

Jaguar 4 button remote key cover parts ,for X-Type,S-Type,XJ8-XJR US $7.7-8.7 / Piece ( FOB Price)
10 Pieces (Min. Order)
Material: Engineering plastics+brass,copper-nickel alloy ; MOQ: 10pcs ; Feature: High rigidity and impact resistance, stable

Comes from a site called Alibaba... there seems to be masses of Chinese companies that are making stuff available for suppliers of spare parts (eg businesses neeed to buy in bulk)... its a bit concerning about the what you may be getting and the quality of it after it has been repackaged...!

Alibaba website:

Thanks stype, I'll take a look.

Yes, I've heard of people getting 7 pound keys and such off eBay. As you say, sounds too good to be true but some people obviously got lucky. Apparently the Mondeo keys of the time are exactly the same. For now I've decided to just have the one key and stuff it!
