Rear discs and pads

Replacing the rear discs and pads today, are there any special things to observe when doing this as there’s not much info regarding x351 rear discs and pad change, and is the ignition kept on when removing things with the EPB off or ok with it off as my ICarsoft tool has a brake service item on it . Thanks in advance

I certainly didn't keep my ignition on. Pretty certain, I just pressed the button to release the handbrake, and turned ignition off, and the car sensibly obeys the human request not to have the handbrake on. It was a while ago though since I last did it, but don't recall anything special.

It does need calliper rewind tools though, as you have to wind the piston back in. Again, can't remember if it was a left or right handed thread, as my set has both types.

When complete, it will probably ask you to calibrate handbrake, which usually just involves foot on brake and engaging and releasing handbrake a couple of times.

I should say, I have SDD, but I didn't use it to do the brakes on the X351 (the X760 is a different story completely, though!)

Ok thanks for the info, I'll get on with it and I've got both types of rewind tool as well, thanks though.
I did a basic "how-to" a while back, if yours is pre 2015 I'm not sure if it's still relevant: 2016 Rear Brake Caliper | Jaguar Forum

Anyway I did the job and replaced the rear discs and pads which went very straightforward and all the vibration has gone 🙂🙂
