When changing from 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd I take my foot off the accelerator and dip the clutch the revs should fall well within a second to around 1000 rpm. That's what I would expect. On mine it could take 3 or 4 seconds. As a result when I do a normal gear change the engine revs are higher than than they should be when I let the clutch up. It sound horrible. Anyone got any thoughts. I was thinking EGR clean and fit a blanking plate, I think without the hole as the EGR is a Euro 3. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks Guys.
I've cleaned the MAF with switch cleaner, I fitted the blanking plate (without hole) and still no change. Have to admit getting sick of this Jag its been one thing after another ever since I got it in January.
I don't know why, but its now fine. I took it to the local Jag dealer in Chichester (Harwoods) I must say they were great, The Service manager took a real interest in the problem, even came out for a test drive, but as you would expect the problem didn't show up and hasn't since.
