Hi anyone else had the problem of the nozzle on the tyre snapping off my e-pace is just over one year old went to top up the air and it sheared off Jaguar claim the nozzle is not covered under the warranty but what is also alarming they have not recalled the car to check the other nozzles. My concern is could they snap whilst driving if so has anyone else had this issue

I’ve had no problems but the usual cause for this is over tightening of the clamp nut, it should be a very low, 4/5Nm IIRC and fitted using a very low rated torque wrench.

Another common cause is that someone fits a metal dust cap. The valve stems are aluminium and dissimilar metal corrosion can lead to the cap corroding onto the stem which snaps when force is applied.

It’s not common but far from unheard of for these to fail on many makes of car.
