Satnav version and touchscreen

Hi guys,

How do i find out what version my touchscreen is, or are they all the same?
I am trying to find out if it is safe for me to put a 2011-2012 satnav disc and update it.

My car is a X-Type 2.5SE registered on 19 Dec 2001.
It has a 6 disk multichanger and DVD unit in the boot.
The touchscreen background is green if that helps.

Cheers guys :)

PS, the links in most of the threads i have found all take me back to the main site page :(

Yeah it's safe, navteq make the new discs, aslong as it's meant for the X-Type, S-Type and XJ, it'll work.

It'll update your touchscreen to a black background with white Jaguar logo, get rid of 3d view and allow you to input a direction on the move.
Thank you Ian,

I have this disk which is correct I hope?
Denso Part No. 464110-9060 which equates to Catalog # T1000-18189 i believe.

464110-9060 (Denso) and 1X43-10E898-AP (Jaguar) are the part numbers on my 2011-1012 disc, and that works fine in my 2006 X-type.
Thank you guys,

I appreciate your time :)
Well i popped the dvd in and the system updated itself and now works happily :)
