To be honest, I would always look for a good Indy. I've done that for my Jags and Bentley GT. Google your area and then look for reviews.
I'm sure there must be one and they are usually a lot cheaper too.

I tend to use the £199 fixed price basic service from my local main dealer, for convience really, yes it is overpriced. Anything else, I sometimes travel to the Jag Specialist in Doncaster, or DIY.

Thanks all for the replies. I have full service jag history so want to keep the stamps up although i understand the other side of doing it yourself knowing its how you want it. So Jag do offer a fixed price service?

Most main dealers offered a fixed price service 'menu' for jobs like routine service, brake disc and pad replacement, etc., for cars over 4 years old. However, I heard rumours that this had recently been discontinued by Jaguar. Not sure if this is actually the case but will find out soon as I am going to put mine in for new discs and pads on the rear. (I'd do it myself except that my drive is on a slope, so unsafe to just chock the front wheels while on axle stands to do it.)

The specified oil is 5w30.

If it's a petrol engine then you want an oil that complies with Ford M2C-913-B, (or -C, or -D, I think they're up to D now).

If it's a diesel then you want one that complies with Ford M2C-934-B (an ACEA C1 [low SAPS] oil). In the owner's handbook it specifies 913-B for diesels, but the spec quietly changed from 913-B to 934-B sometime between '08 and '12 (ie it became 934-B in the 2012 Vehicle Specs booklet)
