Hard game to watch really. England used the maul effectively making it rather tedious at times. Decent win and a bonus point also. Hardest 2 games to come, must do better.

Just wonder if they are peaking at the wrong time for later in the year.
They haven't peaked yet. They are missing 4 starters from the 3rd test against the Blacks last summer, all Leinster players. When they get back, which will be quite soon, it only makes the team even stronger.
the trip away to Scotland could be squeaky bum time but I think Ireland will be playing even better by then.

A sad state of affairs and can only add to their on field troubles.

Does that mean they're all going to stand still as England play around them? Works for me, we'll take the pts 🏉 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 .

Outstanding performance from Italy even though they lost. Pushed the Irish all the way to the end. Great game.(y)

A good win for England with positive steps of teamwork beginning to emerge. Fast flowing and accurate passing through the phases, Farrell’s kicking a bit of a let down. On to the next. (y)

Borthwick's prime decision will be where best to play his ageing skipper Owen Farrell (31) as against the young pretender Marcus Smith (23). I believe that Smith needs to be fly half for his better agility and decision making ... and to be England's kicker too. Farrell has been making uncharacteristic mistakes of late to the point where, in my view, even his selection might soon be in question. Some new names in the pack, and outside it for that matter, and strange to start without Vunipola but to have him on the bench is a plus along with the ever reliable Ben Youngs. Itoje once again our key forward, what a player he has become. 🏉

Next up the frogs ... at home! England still need some work but looking very fluent ... and with quick ball, that's the key. 👏

Excellent game in France. The Scots played some very good and tricky rugby, Jones was outstanding in his handling. France, very difficult to beat at home ran out worthy winners.

Italy are a bloody good side and getting better with each game. They have a number of players now who would get on quite a few other international sides as their underage teams have been improving for a few years now and the senior team is beginning to see the benefits.
Ireland should have about half of the 7/8 starters that they were missing on Saturday back for the Scotland game. i have a feeling that could be a cracker.

It won’t be long before they are beating the established sides and it could yet happen in this competition.

Well.........outplayed, outclassed and out the park. Absolute garbage from England and all credit to a well drilled, well driven French side.
