Have noticed a slight hestitation on my 3L S-Type on pulling away from cold.

In the morning car start's first time pull away and after maybe 10 meters get a hesitation goes away but feels a bit sluggish for around the first 400 meters (End of my road) then everything is ok, no other issues.

Is this normal where the engine is just getting started or is this something to get investergated further.

S-Type 3.0L Auto 07 plate 47K miles.

Regards

Kevin

It shouldn't be hesitating, a tiny bit sluggish when cold maybe (to protect itself at WOT or a bit of condensation) but nothing really noticable unless you set off like the start of the gumball. Misfire perhaps? When were the plugs and coils last done? Other option could be a split air feed elbow pipe that runs across the top of the engine. Does it drop back to idle quickly or does it tend to overrun a little?
