Checked the tyre pressures R/H side fine but L/H were low, must be down to the postioning of the car on drive
and at works carpark as the L/H side is always exposed to the weather.

Needs a darn good clean inside and out lol

Today, I have mostly been staring at my X-type, because the garage washed her yesterday and I couldn't believe how shiny she looks now, sans mud! I also took her on a girlie shopping trip with my friend who admired her and then bought her a boot box thingy from TK Maxx to put the foot pump, triangle etc. in :)

With a couple of spare hours decided to change the front ARB bushes, as the new ones had been rolling around in the boot for a few weeks whilst I waited for a "weather window", phew... was a bit tight for space in there so only managed to get the driver side done before the light went. Wire brushed the calipers whilst I was at it, and then found a dirty great screw sticking out of the tyre when I came to put it back on, so at least that may have saved me some hassle on the way to work tomorrow. Back is sore now though!

I finished replacing my rear anti roll bar drop links and roll bar bushes. What can i say but it was an epic adventure. I had to hacksaw through the retaining ring on the lower piece of the drop link so I could separate the ball and nylon cup. This just left me the ball attached to the lower arm. Then out with the stilsons to grip the ball and off they came.
I sat and marvelled at the elegant, practical and flawless design of my beautiful..................STILSONS.
All car designers should be made to perform mechanical tasks on the cars they design. I would start with making a nicely manicured Jag designer change a rear roll bar drop link. Only then would these highly paid people actually take a bit more time to think about what they are doing. Having spent a couple of hours on a damp floor on a damp day fighting a poor piece of design would they consider how difficult it was to undo a nut attached to a ball in a cup with no real way of gripping it. How hard would it have been to have a flat machined to the washer piece of the joint and whilst pressing the lower arm putting a little raised piece in to catch said flat so no one would have to ever curse you for being a [email protected]#kWIT overpaid mouse pusher. Pencils are a thing of the past lol.

Hi, only had my Jaguar a few days and today I tuned all my radio stations in and put my "teenage kicks" box set CD's in the boot changer then I swapped the wheels back to front as the rears were brand new, and cleaned the inside of the alloys before refitting, was gonna go out on the Harley but the lure of my Jaguar was too strong...

I took my car to Black Magic Detail in Fife to get a first stage machine polish then Max protect to seal and protect the paintwork. It should protect the paintwork for 2 years.
