As promised I am starting my ownership thread. It's Metallic Green LWB with a cream leather and oak interior. On the day of purchase it has covered 41476 miles and cost £14000.

The car drives very smoothly with that V8 purring away and the fit and finish is so much better than the XF.

Earlier today the engine management light came on so I phoned Evans Halshaw and they "don't do Jaguars" so it's booked in with Stratstone at Stockton for tomorrow morning. I will tell them to give it a good going over and fix everything they find wrong that can be charged to Evans Halshaw.

Funny you should say that Steve, we regularly have one of the feeds from Shetland Webcams showing on our front room T.V. at the weekends, due to me hating a big black rectangle doing nothing, and there are often Norwegian sail boats there in the summer because it is but a short hop for them.. and the long history between the two no doubt making a 'link'..

I also remember, whilst helping friends run 'green lane motor cycle weekends' around S.E. Cornwall, talking to a motorcycle dealer from Brighton who said that there would often be a number of bikers turn up at their place on a Saturday and they would then 'just' pop on/in the tunnel and go to Belgium for coffee and and a Belgian fancy for the hell of it.. Completely unthinkable from Cornwall of course.. 6-7 hours to Brighton alone at least...

They were Hardly Davidson owners, they make the 'X351 spotting' thread look very, very mainstream/normal..
