Good Morning. So I have my center consul out, on my X350 amd am awaiting my stereo back from Jagdroid. I was looking at the back of the cigar lighters and the wiring to them. I was wondering if anyone knows of a replacement for the cigar lighter for USB which will fit in the same socket?

Has anyone done such a conversion. Probably a long shot?

I wouldn't really call it a conversion. It's just a cigarette lighter USB plug, usually with two USB sockets. Plugs straight in without need for any modifications.

 

You can get panel-mount USB sockets that could fit the existing holes. However, you lose the flexibility of having a 12v supply when you need one. Why not just use plug-in adapters. There are many compact ones these days that also look nicely made.
