This is something British cars seem to lack in, by that I mean warning triangle and first aid kit.
I don’t know of any British Cars that supply them as OE.

When we bough our disco back in 2003 it came complete with a nice green zip up package containing a triangle, first aid kit and 2 x fluorescent jackets. Still have it and always take it with us.This is something British cars seem to lack in, by that I mean warning triangle and first aid kit.

I'm not saying you're wrong but I thought it was just the hi viz that have to be 'in reach' of passengers. I keep them in the rear centre armrest but the triangle stays in the boot lid.I don't know about the rest of Europe but in France the Hi Viz vests and Warning triangle must not be in the boot so I have them stored
in the front seat rear pockets when I travel over there. Self explanatory I think.

The reason is that if you had a rear shunt, or a front shunt in a rear engined car, you would not have access to the triangle.I'm not saying you're wrong but I thought it was just the hi viz that have to be 'in reach' of passengers. A fair point but I still can't find anything that says the triangle needs to be in the passenger compartment, though it's quite clear that the hi-viz must be.The reason is that if you had a rear shunt, or a front shunt in a rear engined car, you would not have access to the triangle.

Don't waste your money. Its supposedly a requirement, but they cant do anything if you don't have one. All fines/ punishment etc has been scrapped. All they can do is call you a naughty boy/ girl.and a Breathalyzer kit too:-?
