Michaelthanks for reply i had a look at the royal purple (very expensive £28 litre) i contacted the seller and he says its suitable for x300 but i note its made for lsd (limited slip diff) and mine is a non lsd . other specialists have told me not to use an oil made for lsd in non lsd as they contain friction modifiers to deal with friction on slip discs . im still waiting for reply from jaguar uk however shell have specified either spirax s6 axme 75w-90 or spirax s3 ax 80w-90 as being suitable .i note a guy on youtube XJ JESSE uses a lucas synthetic 75w-90 but specialist here said that was not suitable .im trying to get a broader idea of what is generally used .

Wow! That is expensive.
I haven't had any trouble.
Keep us posted on what Jag UK says.
Thanks.
