As the title says, who hasn't come back since the changeover to the new forum?

First one that springs to mind is MrKis....have we lost him? "Last activity 03-04-12 15:47"

X-type_Bobstar, and Tony73, and i'm sure there are others who've not come back since....

It's a pity.....

Unfortunately, this forum is not as easy to use as it was, it has lost all the links, that made it useful to new owners and the like, and for some reason seems to have lost its friendliness (I can't think of the right word and this is as near as I can get). there was alot more banter etc, I don't know who has not reappeared or for what reasons since the changeover, but this new format with all the advertising is not now any different to lots of similar forums on the web. just my opinion:(
I'm not finding this new one any more difficult to use than the old one, and I'm not seeing any ads, so that's better for me than the old one! The only real annoyance is the way it marks threads as read if I haven't read them within a certain time- that's not friendly.

I've just been given a Windows 7 laptop to use at work, and it's such an appalling interface and so much extra work to use it than XP that I doubt I'd have trouble with any forum software, no matter how tortuous. How can people do any work with Win7?
I have the feeling that Cambo is right, I also believe that some Members are absent, although just a gut feeling on my part.
SCM mentions Windows 7 & I agree with him, it's awful. It's as if they have redesigned the wheel & put corners on it.
As for the New Forum Barney has already covered my opinion of it. Unfortunately we can't turn back time.

Like many I have briefly tried the US Forum, This is just my experience & opinion of it. Personally I found it inferior to this one, because it was slightly more convoluted to use than this one. Sponsors fund it & have some editorial input, as in they don't like you mentioning their competitors.

Not so on this Forum, civilised free speech rules. The Members on here are also better informed, so this is a better level of Forum in my opinion. So like many of you I will stay with it, I believe that this is still the best Jag Forum.

Moderators, must be tired of hearing this, The How To Links not working. Some of them are working now, that's good. If the rest can be returned to previous functionality then that would be a big step in the right direction.

It's starting to get a bit tiring of repeating the same faults with the forum over and over again on various threads. Wish there was a response to say, yep we've noted this and we're fixing it or just acknowleging that it's all new and that it's taking time to get the new forum up to speed with everything. But nope, no updates, nothing. Be nice to be told whats happening, because this forum is what it is because of the members who give good advice and banter, if they get fed up and start moving on, the forum goes down hill. I do not want that to happen.Hopefully someone is making a note of what is said in response to the upgrade and are fixing it and if they are, please just update us all on what is going on!
Tatyana666........... missing in action.
Personally, I couldn't see anything wrong with the old forum layout (or what's better about the new one).

I do find that since the changeover I spend less time on the forum than before. I used to spend many an hour having an enjoyable 'meander' through the posts. Now I just tend to go straight for the New Posts option. Also as reported elsewhere, the Google links to old topics are all now all broken.
Yes agree with xtypeHumpage.
On the positive side, I like the Whats New tab. ;)
I certainly had problems sorting the password for the new forum and had to email admin. (the instructions said something different). I don't know whether everyone had this problem. And maybe not all could be bothered. It took me a few days.
I miss all my bookmarks.
Often when I log in it says I'm already on attempt 2 (or 3 or 4) out of 5
Does it log you out automatically a set time after you login?
Unread forum/thread icons not always reliable (and can take some time to update when you refresh the browser).
It just doesn't seem as slick and seamless as the old forum - as others have remarked its more a feeling than anything concrete
As Andy K said it took me over 2 weeks to get back on after the change over and i only managed that because i had another e mail address maybe peeps just got cheesed off and didn't bother
I'm still here but not posted much in the past few months.

No darling, not missing, but lots of action LOL

Exactly as above
Main person missing is the Admin sorting all the issues and any form of QA/pre-release testing
Yes, this might be as good as it gets...... :(

I'd like to ditto that.... the old forum had a much friendlier feel to it .... and a decent logo... I don't browse much at all now... I used to find the forum highly entertaining.

I think the issues with the old forum was what we never saw - the spam and general insecurity. This one is supposedly better from an admin perspective, and since the admins are spending time running it, it's their call. I'm getting to like this one, although here are a few irritants which I hope will be sorted out in the fullness of time.
Fluff ball says "Often when I log in it says I'm already on attempt 2 (or 3 or 4) out of 5"
I had this problem till I realised that those little boxes next to the sign in link were for my user name and password !lol But I guess that is because I was not used to the new format, The thing that I like is that users of the forum are still helpful and friendly they have not changed , I do get adverts when i view the forum but to be fair most are not obtrusive are relevant and if it helps cover the costs then so be it at the end of the day the forum is only as good as the users make it and you have only got read some of the posts to see how helpful most folks are
