Working out exactly what I've got

I've just (today in fact) bought my first ever Jaguar.

She's a 52 reg 3.0 six speed automatic. According to the service book and the V5 it's an SE - the vin decoder at xclusively jaguar says its a "High Series" - is that the same thing?

I've got the half-wood steering wheel, touchscreen satnav, electric parkbrake, memory seats etc, but no sunroof (thankfully), headlamp washers or parking sensors which I would have thought would have been standard on an SE.

I'm not overly fussed as she's a lovely car, I'd just like to know exactly what I've bought! Any help much appreciated.

Thanks for posting the link, ive just checked mine, which is high series SE.
I've got the half-wood steering wheel, touchscreen satnav with voice,TV and phone, electric parkbrake, memory seats, sunroof, headlamp washers, parking sensors and cruise control.
I've got cruise as well (normal, not the follow-the-leader thing), but no phone or tv.
If you email Jag customer services with your VIN they'll sent you the order spec for your vehicle.
Ah, didn't know that - thanks mate.
Well I've had a nice quick reply from customer services, as follows:

All of which is good to know, but still doesn't tell me whether it's an SE or a base model with some options!

I also have no idea what "Audio Remote Ice Controls" or "Touring Suspension" means, and to my mind "sable" means "black" but can only assume it's jaguar-speak for "beige"!

That's a lot of info, which email address did you use, the Jaguar site is a bit confusing?
I used the online form here Jaguar UK - AFTERSALES the top one "I have an issue with my vehicle that I'd like to discuss" - gave them the VIN and asked nicely if they could run it for me and let me have the original spec and got the above the next day - very impressed!
This might not be a lot of help but according to the Nigel Thorley Book 'Jaguar All The Cars' (second edition) Spirit Alloys were standard fit to SE models up to 2004.

I also have no idea what "Audio Remote Ice Controls" !
This got me too, but I think it is the steering wheel controls for the radio etc:D
Thank you PeteMC, I'll give them a go.
Aha, that's probably it! Thanks Barney

Hi,
Sorry to jump in on this thread, but I've just tried submitting the above form but am unable to. I am unable to complete the mandatory field for 'present car make/model' (am able to fill in 'Jaguar' but 'model' field has no drop down menu and won't allow to fill in manually.)
Have tried repeating using 'unknown' or 'none' instead but still unable to submit form.
Has anyone else had this problem?
regards,
Andy.
Nope, just tried it and it works for me. You have to fill in the "make" first then it populates the "model" drop-down list. I did have to do it in IE though, Firefox wouldn't load the form at all for some reason.
Don't you just love standards-conforming web sites? :(

Wierd, I'm using Internet Explorer. Tried it again but still no go.
So I used my son's laptop instead and was able to complete and submit the form, no problem. (Apparently he uses Google Chrome)
Still, all sorted now, so I await a response from Jaguar with baited breath!
Anyway, thanks, Pete.
