hi when i change from 3rd to 4th and back i get a clonk,is that expensive?

Pull the gear lever gaitor up to unhook the retainers and have a look at the gear linkage, does the problem occur with the engine off or when you are driving?

Has this been resolved? I too have this problem (I think mine can also do it with the engine off - need to check this)
