I purchased the USB stick map update for my 2010 XJ , but the update will not start at all. USB stick was in the car for 45min this morning while driving to work, and another 45minutes driving home but nothing happened. I asked HERE what to do, no answer yet. anybody have some tips on what to try? I already got the advise to keep inserting the stick until the car finally gets it, will try that if nothing less frustrating comes along

I can only go by what my update involved (MY 15). But rule # 1 was, "do NOT remove the USB stick until the update is complete". You can stop and start the car but leave the USB plugged in.

Did you download the update and load it onto your own USB stick?
The same happened to me until I loaded it onto a 32Gb drive (not bigger), formatted FAT32. I'd been using a 64Gb drive and it just didn't work.

Take it out, put it back in, wiggle it about. Do the okie-cokie with it each time.

Good Luck dealing with Here ! They are a complete waste of time and space, been dealing with my no show map download for over a month now with out any fix.

Here customer care are a bad joke, how they stay in business is a mystery.
