Alarm going off 30 seconds after car is locked

I am having issues with the alarm going off in my Jaguar XE, when its locked the mirrors intermittently stop folding. Double electrical beep on locking, all doors are locked when checked. 30 seconds later clicking noise as if the locks are engaging then the alarm goes off. Only way to stop this has been to leave it open. I have checked codes its showing the parking assist module as a fault. Could this be responsible for setting off the alarm? Have recently replaced battery as thought this could be the cause.

I have checked the boot loom as the suspected culprit but appears to all be in tact around the flexed section as shown in a video on this forum.

I think it is the perimeter alarm setting it off as I have disabled the interior alarm and it still goes off?

Any ideas for potential solution to the issue apart from leaving the car unlocked every night?

Hi Jimbo,

It says its passenger door activated alarm, but the door seems to be locking ok, do you think it could be the sensor saying whether the door is locked or not?

I've plugged into reader and no codes relating to the central locking/alarm only the following:

U201B-56 Control module calibration (PSCM)
U0001-86 Can BUS
U0001-87 Can BUS

I have the iCarsoft V3 JL but it doesnt seem to allow the actuation testing of lock mechanisms.

Changed the door lock at the weekend with one from eBay ÂŁ39. The double beep has stopped and no more alarm going off! Simple fix in the end after tearing the boot apart trying to find a break in the boot loom. Thanks!
