Can't believe no-one has posted this problem before now...
Had to disconnect the battery to re-set the electronic parkbrake after changing the disk pads. Was sure I'd have the system pin/code in the documentation but the job had to be done regardless so went ahead. Turns out I don't have anything like it in the manuals and can't even find any reference to entering a system code after the battery has been disconnected. Yes, it says about the radio and the code for that, which I have. I have tried entering the code for the radio but that doesn't work.
So...
How do I find out what the system pin number is?
I have a 2005 type S with the big screen in the centre console, that's where I can operate the satnav, radio and all the other good things through. When I turn on the ignition now it comes up with a big number pad and a greyed-out button lebelled enter. You enter four digits and the enter button turns green, you press that and it says wait. Do it wrong four times and it locks you out for some unknown period of time. I can use the car normally in all other respects.
Any clues?
Cheers,
Mark
