Hi all, had a little problem yesterday while attempting to fill my car with fuel. Gauge was showing low fuel, 27 Miles, when I attempted to take to my filling station who had shut early for the day. However on my way to the body shop to have my alloys redone I went in to refuel only to find that I couldn't get the filler flap open. So I had no option but to leave the garage and drive home to attempt to get the flap open. After around an hour of persuading the flap to open I finally managed to get the flap open and managed to get around 5 litres of fuel in. By now I'm running short of time and by the time I got the car to the body shop the fuel gauge was still showing low fuel and 7 miles range. I intend to pick up the car either later tomorrow or Thursday and get another 5 litres of fuel into it. My problem is,

1/ Can I reset the fuel gauge

2/ I'm a bit worried the electrics may take over and put the car into reduced power mode which will render the car undriveable after a mile according to the Jaguar owners handbook.

Any suggestions or information would be much appreciated

Many thanks

Dave

Yeah I saw that one, I've given it a good spray with WD 40 so we'll see what that does. I'm pretty sure its just with the car sitting about doing nothing for weeks on end just now !!!

Thanks
