I wonder if the reason is because on the same XP I previously installed V139 found in the DVD received with clone Mongoose, ( it started but was no able to recognize the VIN, always said it was incorrect), then I installed your V130 but unfortunately I left it update from internet. So I suppose that those installations has left some track somewhere (may be in XP register) so this V130 installation is considered a duplicated installation. I want to try in a new virgin XP and see what happen. I let you know, anyway thanks for your help. Essepi

It makes me crazy. Installed V130 in a clean XP Pro, clock set at 1 august 2012, but the result is the same, user and password are not recognized.
I have a doubt: somewhere I read that a norwegian guy had the same problem, with a XP in norvegian language, then he installed an english version and was successfull. May be this is the reason, I have an italian version.
Second : looking to this XP I see that it's SP2, not SP3. I read always that SP3 is required.
I will restart from the beginning. Having backuped the entire system with Ghost I will reinstall a clean XP, then I will update with SP3 and try again. Unfortunately I cannot test with english XP because I don't Have it.
I keep this thread informed.

Hi everyone,

I'm considering buying a clone on which v130 will run. Could anyone advise as to which unit would be capable of reprogramming two new keys? (with transponders) I lost my only key, so I don't know if it's even possible. I'm an IT/electronics engineer, so I should be okay with using the s/w. My only other avenue is to tow it to Jaguar and lean forward!

Thanks,
Dave

Sorry to intervene but I think you will find this helpful, it is taken from the JLR Manual.

JLR Mangoose SDD V142

Newest JLR Mangoose SDD V142 is verified working well with Chinese JLR Mangoose cable.

Yesterday, I tried to uninstall sdd v139 and download SDD V142, firstly I browse http://diagnosticdelivery.jlrext.com/idscentral
Download only these files:
SDD 142.00_FULL.exe
VDF_JA_142.exe
VDF_JV_142.exe
VDF_LA_142.exe
VDF_LV_142.exe
SDD_142.01.exe
SDD_142.02.exe
SPA_142.exe
With these files I can't install yet, I need additional "Driver for MangoosePro_JLR" and a freeze software to have license key. Being SDD old user, my supplier send me the driver and freeze software for free of charge, not pay the shipping fee to ship the CD. For the first users, I would highly recommend:

SDD V142 with cable for $43

You need spend some time to install V142, I have several tips to share with first user.
Tip 1: Run with Xp system or XP Mode in Windows 7, or vmware XP in windows 7.
Tip 2: Disable both local area connection and wireless connection network, otherwise antivirus software will say virus possibility on the license key software.
Tip 3: All the software installation has to be finished within one day.
Tip 4: Firstly install software then driver then freeze software, finally to test diagnostic function.
Tip 5: Because the software will expire within one day, the freeze software has to be installed within one day to frozen the software and can be used all the time.
Tip 6: If you didn't install the freeze software within one day, you will get prompt saying the software has expired, the solution is to reset the computer date and time to that day when you installed the software.

Hello,

I have the same problem like someone else before. I have installed the SDD v130 from martyn812. Reading the hole thread helped me to fix many brakepoints,
But there is one last issue. I can't login into the SDD and get the message that the user or password aren't ringht or the license out of time.

It would be so nice if someone could help me. I can't beleve that I should be the only person where the login isn't working.
My installation is at a virtual Win XP Mode machine, without network and anything else. The mongoose adapter is connected and its installation was successfull, too.

Hello all,
Is it correct that this v130 from martyn is Chinese language version? I'm currently trying to install it on a virtual machine and not having much luck. All the text in the installation windows etc is in Chinese characters or random symbols?!

Where is the best place to get the cable to connect to the car. Or can you use Bluetooth adaptors?

Not really a v130 query but as this is the live Mongoose thread at the moment worth a go...

I've perused the many mongoose threads, bought a cheap laptop, loaded the software up and I'm ready to have a go!

I got a bigger and better laptop than I expected so I have made it dual boot into Tiny 7 and installed the software there. The software that came with the cable was what seemed to be an incomplete v139 plus v141and v142. I believe? these all need some live access back to TOPIX so I have installed v138 from the forum.

v138 and the drivers seem to load OK, although there was one error message that didn't stop things, and it seems to run up in a very limited way "on the bench".

I've got a new big battery for the laptop and I'm ready to have a go. But being of a rather nervous disposition I need to ask this question... If I just plug it in to the car and run up the software can I do the car any harm if the software has not installed as well as I think it has? ;)

Every time I plug in my v131, my heart goes, but haven't killed anything yet and learn something new all the time.

I remember being the same after installing LPG on my first car and then trying to use software to configure but if you don't rush in and read/understand all the prompts it isn't rocket science!!

So, my install of SDD v130 is running at the moment, in XP via VirtualBox. My question relates to VirtualBox in that despite my changing the date to august 2012 it resets itself to today... how and why, and how do I get round it as clearly it won't work if the software really thinks it's 2016!?

Thanks in advance.

It will reset if you are connected to the internet? There is a way to set the time, on various threads here, but im not sure, as i use a sole purpose laptop.

I'll just set the clock on the host machine and be happy with that for now.

However, next issue is that I seem to have a 64bit driver for the cable and I need a 32bit. Is there one available on here somewhere do we know?

One version I had came with a batch file which you had to run to reset the date before loading up SDD does any one have one?

Pretty sure it was called date.batch or similar?
