My XKR

Hoping that's some form of vote of confidence on the local dealer! My car is under extended warranty until the autumn and I have a service and MOT due next month. I had a minor warranty issue sorted a while back, no issue with the work but the customer services are a tad shoddy! Was considering a drive to Perth but as I am also a contractor I would prefer not to!

Hi 8bit, I'm afraid the XJ aint me, did swither between the XF and the XKR but at the end of the day no contest! I do tend to keep an eye out for Jaguars and have seen a similar XKR to mine around Cults where I live! Must admit that the XKR hasn't missed a beat so not expecting any surprises at the service, I will have to read the warranty paperwork as there is some kind of MOT warranty included. Happy days now as I think we are heading into the nicer weather, bought a stack of detailing stuff I wanna try out!

And now I'm back to swithering, Aberdeen or Perth!!! But there is an Indy in Edzell I believe?

8bit, your comment, and thier reply, on brake hoses and particularly siezed nipples coming up on the health check after they apparently did a full brake fluid change is a little concerning? Perth is definately sounding a little better, particulalry if they provide a decent courtesy car, the last courtesy car I got from PV Aberdeen was a brand new XF, very nice but the first thing I had to do was fuel it up, had around 30 miles left in the tank!!

Do you have an OBD unit that you use before and after putting the car into the garage??

Looks like Perth then, I had a fair bit of the local arrogance from the Audi dealers here (Specialist cars) when I had one! Funnily enough when I had a VW, same group, I used to use the body shop for all my servicing, you wouldn't think they were the same company, what a difference in service!!

Hi 8bit, believe it or not I have been on the Elite Jag website and been swithering about the getting the full ÂŁ1300 sports system for my car, but to be honest I was pondering over the fitting, they do offer a free fitting at their premises in Derby or do I get one shipped up and get it fitted. I appreciate you have different down pipes but the sound out of yours is something else!!

Hi Niall, you give me a hand, hmm been years since I seriously tinkered with a car, you may find me giving you a hand! As soon as they started putting sensors and electronics into everything I started to pass my hard earned cash to those who supposedly knew what they were doing!
Anyhow my plan is to get in touch with Elite Jag and have a chat on the systems they have. I also read, can't remember if it was on tbis forum or not but, someone mentioned a retune required after changing to a performance exhaust, I think the person who made the comment actually had a remap! Not keen on remaps as insurance can be a little sticky if you have a bump and haven't fess'd up to having a remap! As for theV8 Brekkie, definately keen and possibly sooner rather than later!
