Just been reading the Jaguar section of this Forum about the MY2013 XFs for the Canadian market, where they are introducing an all new in line 4 Cylinder Petrol Engine, Turbocharge to 240hp and a new 3ltr V6 supercharged engine, developing 340HP. The 3Ltr also is fitted as standard with 4 wheel drive. The 3ltr V6 is a development from Jaguar's 5Ltr Aluminum V8 unit.
Just wondering if a similar spec maybe on the way for the UK at some point.
Does anyone know if this is the case?

Regards,
Telfer.

S/C V6 already announced for the UK - think it is in the Sportbrake first.

Inline 4? Not heard that one. Couldn't see it being available in the UK where the diesels fill that niche.

Hi Wilf,
Thanks for that info re the Sportbrake XF.
If you go to Jaguar Car-News, in the Forum listings, you will find the details of the new four cylinder in line engine under, 2013 Jaguar XF (Canada). At the moment of typing this post it is the 4th Item down. If you Click on "more" this brings up very comprehensive specification details. Actually it does not say Petrol anywhere, but I'm assuming it is a Petrol unit being described.
Thanks again

Telfer.

PS The new V6 supercharged engine is now a listed option for use in the XJ and XF saloons, but not listed as an option for the XF Sportbrake.
It is the standard fit to the XF 3.0 L Supercharged model. It is also available in the F-Type rated @ 340PS and in the F-Type S, rated @ 380PS. T.
