What are the best wiper blades with washer jets to fit my Jag. Preferably the flat ones so it looks better :)

Just fitted Bosch flat blades to my STR as they were just ÂŁ18 from Eurocarparts. They have the washer jet but I have the earlier model so don't need them. What a daft design - I ended up taking the wiper arms off to replace the blades as I couldn't see how it could be done any other way.

yes but my nearest Jaguar Dealer is 20 miles away and being HA Fox I'm not sure I would trust them with my lawn mower - the Bosch wipers are excellent. I've used the flat wipers on a few of my cars and always found that they worked perfectly. The ÂŁ18 was for both sipers - I'd be surprised if the dealer could do them as cheap but as I said that's 2 gallons of fuel there and back in an STR which adds a bit!

Hi Crazymann,
I always purchase new replacement Blades from my local (Glasgow) dealer when they are required. Price wise they are competitive and you know you have the correct specification to suit your car.

Thanks but my question was which ones are good. Like what make, Bosch, Valeo etc.
TRICO. they were OE. Dealer wanted ÂŁ35 a pair, I got them forÂŁ18 a pair at a local spares shop...........the same part.

There are pages (4 i think) about wipers somewhere on the forum (and only very recently). I even posted the correct TRICO part no.

Mr. Lanceautoman, if you bought them of eBay etc, could you give me a link and do they actually fit RDH Jag as I've seen some on eBay but they were for LHD Jags only.

Fellas, do you buy bosch flat wipers ready for rhd or do you have to fiddle about with them a bit to change them from lhd to rhd setup.

I bought wipers from Autobulbs direct for my V70 and my Merc and they have not lasted 2 years but I can't remember their brand name. I replaced the S type just after I got it last June with Bosch from ECP, I think ÂŁ18 for the pair. I had to replace the V70 blades last year (bought from ECP, I think Bosch but I can't remember for sure) and yesterday I replaced my Merc's with Bosch from Motor Parts Direct, ÂŁ14.88 for both (one 23" front blade and one 18" rear blade) but I need to replace the S Type again now, they are already smearing and I already tried vinegar and screenwash.

So neither Bosch from ECP nor the cheaper brands have lasted. Yesterday's Bosches are cleaning the screen very well but I have no idea how long they will last.

Halfords ones are selling for ÂŁ12 and ÂŁ11 I think, so that is ÂŁ23.

So it is possibly worth buying originals from the dealer even if they are ÂŁ18 each if they will last longer than 3 years.

Or just buy from Ebay or Autobulbs Direct for less money and they last as long as they last.

Pays yer money and still gets robbed, it all Oils the Recycling Business, thass wha' Oi say!

I got a set from here. They're genuine Bosch, arrived quickly, fitted perfectly and wipe the screen effectively. Not much more I could ask.

You do need to be careful not to bend the drivers side wiper arm when you change them though. The bonnet doesn't allow you to lift the arm up from the screen as most cars do so it's a bit fiddly to fit any blade. I thought I had bought a faulty blade as initially it didn't wipe the screen properly but I found that I'd put a slight bend in the arm which meant that the blade wasn't sitting on the screen properly. Rectified that and it wipes perfectly now.

Hi,

I use the Bosch 3397007654 (

HI, they have the jets right where they should be. To be honest, I looked up the wipers on amazon.co.uk on the item number (?) from Bosch...as I live on the continent, I order with .de: http://www.amazon.de/dp/B0098OB7GU/ and they fit like a glove on my S-Type
