hello

my father in laws jag s type 2007 2,7 diesel as started leaking coolant,

we took it to a ex jaguar mechanic who pressure tested it and found the leak to be one of the pipes offside that apparantly is fitted inside the bulk before the engine is fitted.

he said it was that tight he couldnt really get a hacksaw to it to cut a section out and rubber hose it.

solution other than drop the engine was to k seal it which worked for 2 days now its back to leaking again.

has anybody come across this problem ? and how was it solved ?

kind regards lil

As I've said before, those who never used it should be quiet.

Every product should be used as per instructions and not mixed with other sealants

If the right dose was used, in a clean coolant-only system, K Seal will seal the system again, it can seal gaps up to 2 inches long as I've proved myself.

Do Not put in any more K Seal and do Not put in any other sealants.

If you want to do that you Must flush out the whole system with clean water and put in fresh coolant mix after that, then add fresh K Seal or other sealants.

Let your mechie decide, it's his responsibility.

Here are some videos on using K Seal.

This chap had a cracked cylinder head. K Seal isn't designed for that, the same company makes Steel Seal to seal cylinder heads :

Here are other ones that prove its value, there are many:

K-Seal didn’t work on my cooling, most of it is sitting at the bottom left corner of my header tank!!!

hi
i think ive come up with the solution which is the permanant fix as opposed to temp fix.

refit new or maybe good second hand metal heater pipes

general opinion on here seems to be swaying me.

just not sure how difficult a job this is ?

If it's the heater matrix pipes behind the bulkhead, I'm not certain but I think it's a dashboard out job.

It will probably run to 6+ hours labour charges.

You can download the Workshop Manual to see, from www.jagrepair.com

Otherwise, you can get your mechie to bypass the heater matrix if you don't mind not having heating :(

Brrrr!!! :)
