I'm looking for a JLR 152 mongoose driver for windows 7 (the v139 works ,so someone said ) ?
(XP Virtual box) inside win 7 , it needs a win 7 driver ? is that right ?

Hi rwotrak098, If you are using an XP Virtual box inside win7 then you should not require a win7 driver. Ensure you are not connected to the internet when loading or using JLR. As far as I can remember you have to load the JLR on a clean XP service pack 2 with no other updates. Admittedly I use v131 and V134 on a Virtual Box without problems.

If your using the Oricle Virtualbox then you shouldn't be having a problem.

Hands up - it was me looking for some help.

I had an old laptop running XP pro and used this no problem with (I think) V134. This laptop is now crooked and has been replaced with a new laptop (64-bit) running with win 7. I got V138 on a USB stick which I have loaded in, and it came with a virtual XP also. The virtual system is running XP fine, SDD is working, but not recognising the cable at all.

I did have the wifi connected whilst trying all this so I will try again tonight with it off.

Could the fact it's a 64-bit machine be causing the grief? The cable is fine as the old laptop still recognises it when I plug it in. I've checked all the directories and they mirror what I had in the old XP laptop so all seems ok in that respect.

Any help much appreciated!

V139 Drivers which are being downloaded as we speak,, including the 64 bit , but your setup is in x86 so it shouldn't matter , someone will correct me I'm sure ;)

Some bit of progress. I have managed to install cable drivers into both win 7 and the virtual XP. When I look on the 'devices' manager it is recognising the cable and saying it's working properly. The green light is flashing on the cable...all sounds great, but SDD still dosn't recognise it and saying please connect MongoosePro.....

Therefore my question....Is a mongoosePRO cable different somehow different to a standard Mongoose cable or are they one and the same thing?

I'm sorry Oilspill,

Missed the 64bit you mentioned earlier.. JLR has a problem with 64bit. See if you can find a 32bit version of win7..
Frankly I'm amazed that you got this far with 64bit win7. Maybe because you have such a new version.

I found another pro driver installer (seems to be 64bit) and uploaded it, maybe that will work: you can get it here:

If it doesn't I guess it's back to x86 win7 I'm afraid.
