I've an ELM327 unit linked to my smartphone Torque app, and the temperature reading on my 2014 XF 2.2 after a long run is usually in the range 81-83C. I double checked by replacing the ELM327 with my iCarsoft unit but the low temperatures were confirmed. I am suspecting the thermostat is at fault and as it is still under warranty I'll mention it before I get the next routine service done. Now I am wondering if this is a catch 22 situation. If I am asked how do I know the temperature is low, and I indicate the ELM327, it might be (wrongly) assumed I have altered some operating characteristics which would void the warranty. Not sure where I stand here and need some advice.
