I saw a red XJ with LED front lights at lunchtime today. Heading into Brum on the A38 from J4 of the M5. I was in my wifes 330, so no chance of a wave. I also didn't get a good look as the closing speed was 140mph on a curve with a barrier between us. I was happy to note mine was still on the drive when I got home too - very similar to look at!!

.....but we have more petrol Autobiographies on this site than they seem to acknowledge!
How so Mac?

They have two listings covering the V8 Autobiography.
JAGUAR XJL AUTOBIOGRAPHY I AUTO shows 18 licenced and 2 sorn, but one is a diesel.
JAGUAR XJL AUTOBIOGRAPHY V8 AUTO shows 11 licenced and 2 sorn.
So a total of 28 taxed and 4 sorn.

Has another V8 Autobiography turned up on here? There have been a couple for sale, but no other owners have turned up on here as far as I know.

If you are an Anglia spotter, you may be interested in a project of a friend of mine. He had a spare Mitsubishi VR-4 engine. 2.5 V6 twin turbo. He also had an Anglia he didn't know what to do with....... He now has a you tube channel with updates. The Anglia is as ridiculous as it sounds!
If you like/subscribe to his channel it helps him a little too!

Not seen one for a couple of weeks, then in the space of 40 miles I have seen three! All between Redditch and Birmingham, a white one with LED headlights, a black one with a JAG at the end of the number plate and a black one that had a four digit private plate. I don't think anyone on here lives on the south side of Brum or in Redditch though!

Drove past what I assumed was a Jaguar Stretch XJ hearse this morning.

Out of curiosity put the number plate in MOT checker and it comes up as a Jaguar Eagle OV64 UAS. This was for the passengers not the coffin carrier.
Apparently it is an EAGLE D V6 LIMOUSINE.
Seating capacity 8.
Length 6322mm. That is over a metre longer than my LWB!

and must be a foreigner, they're driving on the wrong side of the road!
You can relax, the sighting was on the Hagley Road, heading out of Birmingham. It is dual carriageway there, but the foliage is obscuring the other side. This link should be a street view of the area in question, maybe a few yards behind where I was at the time:

I'd have recognised you John, although I was not in the XJ so you'd have likely not spotted me!
My better half and I both work at the University of Birmingham. Believe it or not to get home to Redditch the quickest way is often out to the Hagley road, out to the M5, down a junction and then through Bromsgrove. It's a few miles longer but often a fair few minutes quicker than just going south through Brum. That day she was driving her 3 series.

BMW do it for the front.

For the rear everyone seems to use the microwave sensors, probably from the blind spot system (not connected to the park sensors).
Cross traffic alert.

My XJ does this (I have the 360 degree cam). If I reverse out of a space the rear camera detects things approaching from the side and both displays the offending article on the screen and makes an audible warning noise from the speakers in the appropriate corner of the car.
It has a "T Junction" mode for the front camera that looks sideways in both directions.

Just read about the ULEZ for parking at Heathrow (Luckily mine is okay so I don't have to pay that one!) and it reminded me that when I was there a couple of weeks back I spotted one in a car park from the long stay T2&3 shuttle bus. Parked in a car park for one of the busniesses that back on to the runway. L5 XJL. An easy one to remember, otherwise I'd have forgotten it by now! Also a 2016 which I guess makes sense if it is their place of work.
