As dealers, we had about £16,000+ VAT dealer support on XJ's for the last 2 years of production.

I can't remember anyone ever paying 'list' for one, so they had a head start on the depreciation from day one.
Did you sell many XJR575s new? I'd heard somewhere that almost all went as Jaguar management cars.... then sold-on after 1-year..

Maybe best not answer that.

At my dealership, we didn't sell a single XJR 575 new.

There were quite a few on the 'press fleet' for TV and magazine road tests.

A journalist managed to crash a velocity blue one, when we were in Portugal for the I-PACE launch.

Had the pleasure of driving my mates 575 to tatton park car show a few weeks ago whilst he was showing it along with his 99 xjr, given that it's a mere 575 bhp which tbh by today's standards is not high when compared with rs6s etc however this car is far more brutal and challenges the drivers ability to tame it which to be fair is far more engaging than the quattros that offer much more driver assistance. I have an x150 xkr and this and these cars are sooooo underrated yet the hoards plump for just as if not more unreliable and costly German engineering.

Very much agree - a great car. What colour-combo is your mate's?
It's a pearl red with purple hues and pops in sunlight, can't remember the name of it and stupidly I don't have a photo. He told me that there have only been 2 made in the colour, as a typical bloke we all think our cars attract the female of the species, the colour of this car had them fainting over it, no interest in the stats just the colour tbh if it were a reliant Robin I think it would have had the same effect.

Sounds like Rosello (sample below from a 2019 XJ brochure)... I've only seen one (XJR575) before in that colour and it is stunning! That car was in North Lincolnshire.... at Boston Jaguar when I took mine in for MoT (while still under warranty - have avoided JLR dealers after the warranty ran out). Definitely not a standard 575 colour - must have been a special order.

That's my old car I believe. Looks like they've cleaned it for the next buyer which is rare, normally they wait until its sold to use it as a bargaining chip.

Was a fantastic car during my ownership of almost 2 years, and happy to answer any questions.

I'm remembering the 1st few months with her, she was quite a handful on the damp September and October roads. The electronics definitely saved me a couple of times. Kicking down and hitting peak torque with only 2 wheel drive, is something I learned to manage.

Before this I had a X5M with a similar amount of power. I thought that was fast until I got this, it was genuinely supercar fast.

Miss her
