Lookin' sharp!

Hope the weather holds and she stays that way

Jim
It looks like Peter has, again, ordered a dry morning from the weather gods 👌

I really must get their number from him 🤔

I see an XF parked a couple of cars from you cheated by getting wrapped (mostly) in blue! I wonder if they get a new wrap for every colour day?

On This Day In My Jaguar Ownership History… in 2006…

It was a Thursday. It was also the day before the launch of the Jaguar XK X150 to the eagerly-waiting world.

However, that didn't stop one of the directors of Stratstone Newcastle registering chassis number B00505 on this very day and, lo, unto the world, the Villanovas' Jaguar was "born".

And peace on earth and goodwill to all men did exist for evermore... Only it didn't, really, I made that bit up, (but I think that you'd already worked that out) 😂

Now, officially, the "first" Jaguar XK was a coupe with chassis number B00379 and was immediately presented to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Collection, and it can oft be seen down Gaydon-way.

But, as far as I am concerned, the most important thing about all of this is that our XK is, officially, the 126th production X150 sold.

That wasn't too bad for a Thursday, was it?

On This Day In My Jaguar Ownership History… in 2024

It was a Saturday. And I was very much aware that I had been rather absent from here, (and the other place), for the last 3 or 4 months. Hopefully, I should be able to make sure I have enough time to keep up-to-date with all things Forumly from now on.

And for those masochists who like to follow the historical exploits of our Jaguar, I will just have to carry on doing OTDIMJOH posts into the first quarter of 2025 to make sure all the milestones are noted.

OTDIMJOH is such a catchy little acronym, isn't it?

Lol these updates are getting more sharp and to the point

That's not an acronym that'll roll off the tongue easily :ROFLMAO:

As yours is a fairly early one, Rob, it would be interesting to know how many are still on the road of the other 125 before yours.

When I joined the XKEC in early 2020, I had a good nosey at their extensive X150 register which attempted to track every car from B00001 onwards.

At that time, they were keeping tabs on 4 pre-production models, all on 55 plates then, one of which I have seen at the odd Jaguar gathering or read about. As for production models, they only had contact with B00468, a black coupe in Ireland. So when I joined, mine was the oldest convertible they had 'on their books'.

David Hague, the Jaguar Driver's Club's Correspondent for the Modern XK Register, maintains that it is still the oldest production X150 that he knows of. I know that he checks out any and every XK that he comes across, so I'm confident that he's aware of a whole load of Jags.

And as far as Mrs V and I are concerned, it is the oldest X150 that we own... (It is also the newest, but that's not the point here, is it 🤔?).
